My Wordy Self

I love words and little phrases that make me laugh out loud or think twice about something. I tend to hear and see things differently than others. We'll call it "creative twists on the ordinary."
I have always had a passion for children’s literature and have collected ideas for as long as I can remember. If you are looking for me in any bookstore, you will find me in the picture book section, wishing I had thought of that! All it takes is a spark, an idea, and the determination to never let go of your dream. That's where I am now, finding ways to put my lifelong passions together into something tangible and share them with others.

My Artsy Self

I used to love to cartoon. But, years later, when I finally started writing picture books, the thought of illustrating them seemed unimaginable. But once I reconnected with that artsy side of me, my passion for drawing was not only rekindled, but took on a life of its own! I not only have been illustrating all of my own books but started JoHudsonPrintables.Etsy.com so that I can share it all.
